In August of 2009, Chemic Laboratories Inc. and Archimica Group formed a joint cooperation agreement that enables the two pharmaceutical development and manufacturing firms to cooperate on a variety of client engagements, primarily in the areas of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) research, development  and production. Under this agreement, the companies can now leverage their collective expertise in pharmaceutical analytics, development, and commercial manufacturing to make a definitive difference in their client's business performance, speeding the time products can be brought to market.

The cooperation model between the two companies will consist of Archimica quickly scaling DEA controlled and other APIs to commercial scale after Chemic Laboratories has developed and produced the first quantities. This will ensure a steady supply of highest quality APIs for our customers. Together with the existing DEA controlled drug portfolio and several new controlled APIs under development, this is another step forward in broadening the companies portfolio.

Archimica is a privately held pharmaceutical fine chemical company with sales of more than US$ 150 million (2008) and 600 employees at seven manufacturing facilities. Locations include Italy, France, Germany, Great Britain and the United States. Most sites are FDA-inspected and operate under cGMP conditions. Archimica focuses on starting new projects in clinical phases II and III and on new generic drug development.

In March of 2010, Chemic Laboratories Inc. and Emerson Resources Inc. formed a joint cooperation agreement that enables the two pharmaceutical development firms to cooperate on a variety of client engagements, primarily in the areas of solid dose and liquid dose formulation development. Under this agreement, the companies can now leverage their collective expertise in pharmaceutical analytics and formulation development.

In April of 2010, Chemic Laboratories Inc. and Quanta Biodesign formed a joint cooperation agreement that enables the two pharmaceutical development and manufacturing firms to cooperate on a variety of client engagements, primarily in the areas of dPEG® cGMP manufacturing. Under this agreement, the companies can now leverage their collective expertise in synthetic chemistry and manufacturing offering our clients a stream lined process to move from R&D materials needs (Preclinical through phase I) to cGMP material needs (Phase II and beyond).

Company

Quanta BioDesign was founded for the purpose of developing and commercializing an extensive line of products for companies involved in drug discovery and diagnostic development programs.  These products are based on proprietary discrete polyethylene glycol (dPEG®) chemistries. The single molecular weight ethylene glycol conjugation technology, dPEG® eliminates common problems found in the development of diagnostic and therapeutic products, such as aggregation and non-specific interactions, poor water solubility, poor delivery, delivery issues/options, short serum half life, toxicity and antigenicity.
