Joseph St. Laurent
President/Chief Scientific Officer
Joseph co-founded Chemic Laboratories in 1998 and currently serves as President and Chief Scientific Officer. Mr. St. Laurent's primary responsibilities include managing technical affairs and business development, ensuring that the company offers unparalleled contract analytical, formulation development, API synthesis and small-scale manufacturing to the pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, biotech, and medical device industries. Mr. St. Laurent offers drug development and consulting expertise to a virtual pharmaceutical company serving as CSO since 2008, aiding in product process development.
Joseph received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biochemistry from Bridgewater State College. Additionally, he has completed advanced postgraduate analytical, organic and physical chemistry studies (Bridgewater State College); advanced studies in Mass Spectral Data Interpretation (Analytical Education Center) and Management Development Studies (Suffolk University, Boston, MA). Prior to establishing Chemic Laboratories, Mr. St. Laurent served for ten years in various technical and management roles at several New England Contract Research Organizations.
Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer
Scott co-founded Chemic Laboratories in 1998 and currently serves as the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Goodrich has over 35 years of management experience, including 5 years in the biochemistry field and 8 years as a Financial Analyst/Head of New Product Development. His primary responsibilities include managing the company’s financial, accounting and budgeting duties as well as overseeing site operations including the Analytical, Manufacturing, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Information Technology and Facility Operations Departments. Mr. Goodrich received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from Bridgewater State College.
Gerald Jones, Ph.D.
Director, Manufacturing/ Organic Synthesis
Jerry joined Chemic Laboratories in 2001 and currently serves as the Director of Manufacturing and Organic Synthesis. He has played an integral role in Chemic's development as a multi-service company and has made significant contributions to Chemic's cGMP synthetic programs, as well as to Chemic’s R&D small-molecule drug discovery and transdermal formulation development programs.
Prior to joining Chemic, Dr. Jones was Vice President of Chemistry for RSP Amino Acid Analogues, Inc., a start-up company dedicated to the synthesis of enantiopure, orthogonally protected, unique a-amino acid analogues. His career has included faculty appointments to Northeastern University and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and joint research/teaching appointments to Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital (Department of Radiology) and Harvard Medical School/Brigham & Women's Hospital (Department of Radiology).
Dr. Jones received his B.S. in Chemistry from Waynesburg College and his PhD in Synthetic Organic Medicinal Chemistry from Purdue University. He completed postdoctoral research/teaching appointments at the University of Houston. He has been a member of the American Chemical Society for over 40 years and is a member of the ACS Division of Medicinal Chemistry and the ACS Northeastern Section.
Lisa Walsh, M.Sc.
Director, QAU/Regulatory Affairs and Marketing
Lisa serves as Director of the Quality Assurance Unit / Regulatory Affairs, as well as the Director of Marketing at Chemic Laboratories. Ms. Walsh has over 20 years of cGMP/GLP quality assurance, pharmaceutical marketing and sales related experience. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of the Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance Unit and the Analytical Technical Report Writing Department, as well as implementing multiple marketing campaigns, creating ad content, assisting with business development and multiple industry conference and promotional activities. Ms. Walsh received her Master of Science degree in Regulatory Affairs from Northeastern University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a Minor in Psychology from Bridgewater State College.
